17 March - More reviews from the Fringe
New reviews are up on www.theatreview.org.nz for a few shows, including a couple with dates still to run. The Needies, A Mime to Kill, Gestalt, Owen O'Neill and Music and Dance in the Garden of Earthly Delights all have shows still to come, so get out and check out some Fringe action in the final week! Links to each review are available on each show description.
13 March - A Bit More Geldof
This Friday and Saturday at 6.30pm sees the return of Bob Geldof - Live! down to The Basement. Before your other shows this weekend, come on down to see Danielle Cormack and Jonny Brugh for an awesome start to your night.
Another couple of reviews are up for Fringe shows, with The Official Perceiving Murder and Owen O'Neill catching the eye. Check them out on www.theatreview.org.nz . Both offer some really good fun and laughs, so get along - both are on all next week.

12 March - More Reviews
A few more shows have just had reviews come in, with Ruby Tuesday scoring a great one on www.theatreview.org.nz Others to have review up from their Auckland seasons include Post Gay and The Virgin Party. Tickets for Ruby Tuesday, which runs until Thursday 12 March down at The Basement are available through www.buytickets.co.nz . Check both Virgin Party and Post Gay's show info under the programme form more into on how to get along to these shows.

10 March - Some more reviews...
A few more reviews have popped up on www.theatreview.org.nz for Auckland Fringe shows, including Office Boy, Little White Men and Self Portrait. The great thing about these is that they still have a few more shows to run (Office Boy started last night and runs until Saturday 21 March), so you still have time to see them.

4 March - First Fringe Week & Reviews
Fringe shows have been in full flight across Auckland for a week now, and while some shows may have finished, there is a lot of Fringe action still to come. Look out for reviews of each show as they pop up. Fresh ones to pop up recently are for Regression Test, Conspiracy 911, The Minister's Son, and Chet Baker: Like Someone in Love. The Minister's Son is still to play as part of the Auckland Fringe, so make sure you get along and check it out.

27 Feb - The Auckland Fringe is Open for Business!
The Auckland Fringe opens tonight, with the Fringe action kicking off down at The Basement from around 4pm.

23 Feb - One Week To Go!
Only one working week to go before the opening night of Auckland Fringe 2009! A few things are going on around Fringe venues on Friday, so make sure you get out and sample a few things from the proverbial smorgasbord...
Down at The Basement will be the official opening night of shows and after-party. George FM will be broadcasting live from 4-6pm in the build up to the opening, so come on down from late afternoon and settle in for an evening of exciting shows. Join in the fun well into the night as George carries the party through till late.
The Butterfly Zoo opens on Friday up in Western Park in Ponsonby, on the corner of Ponsonby Rd and Hepburn St. Featuring the Cuban Brothers, this night is sure to be one of the hottest shows of the Fringe. Doors open 6pm for an 8pm start.
If you are stuck in traffic about 5pm on the way home on Friday, hopefully it's around Spaghetti Junction. Rush Hour will be engaged in some dancing between 5 and 6pm around Auckland's transient heart, so keep an eye out and let them soothe your driving nerves!
Other shows on Friday at venues dotted around Auckland are Destination Death at Takapuna's Pumphouse; Inventing Characters at The Cross Street Studios; MissChief presents Misdimeanours at The Classic; Three Men in a Box up at K'Rd's Te Karanga Gallery; and Unravel's knitted art exhibition will be set up ready to go throughout the Richmond Road shops.

10 Feb - Wellington Fringe
Wellington has just seen their annual Fringe festival kick off with heaps of exciting shows. Check out their website at www.fringe.org.nz if you are looking for a bit of pre-Auckland Fringe action.
In the meantime, there are a few shows this year in Wellington that are set to be a part of the Auckland Fringe programme. Keep an eye on websites such as www.theatreview.org.nz for reviews and highlights of Wellington performances. We will do our best to highlight reviews and news about shows destined for Auckland, but if you find something that we haven't, less us know!
5 Feb - FRINGE LAUNCH
Well, first up a big thank you to all the performers and attendees to Wednesday night's launch. It was a huge success, and the perfect way to announce the arrival of Auckland's first-ever Fringe festival!
We have had great feedback from the launch, with a lot of people really excited about the programme! A big thanks to our launch suppliers Mata Beers, Abes Bagel Crisps, Teza Teas and George FM along with the team at The Basement.
